Profile: Matt La Scala was first exposed to the EDM scene when the likes of 99.3FM, WILD FM and RUSH on Nova 96.9FM were bringing a new sound of underground Dance music to Sydney's listeners. After several years of collecting music, Matt acquired his first set of turntables and began to learn the art of DJ'ing, that was back in 2001. Since then Matt has progressed considerably, with a strong preference for Progressive House, he began to share his mixes and mash-ups with his friends. As time went on he became confidant enough to approach an online radio station Boost FM where he hosts his regular Progressive House show Disko Elektrik, since then he's also become a resident DJ at the station. A recent project, called Deepergroove Sydney was started by him, with the aim of bringing together the Progressive House fans of his hometown Sydney and to present to the listeners what is being played on Sydney's Prog House scene. Always keen to play, Matt looks forward to reaching a broader audience whilst staying true to his sound.
